Din Tai Fung – Vegan Taiwanese food options (Chain Restaurant)

Din Tai Fung is one of the restaurants we stumbled upon when we were craving dumplings. We have a set things we like from their menu which are completely vegan! We have been to multiple locations of Din Tai Fung multiple times and we have never been disappointed by either the food or staff. The wait times during weekends are crazy though!! I think that is the price you have to pay(other than money ofcourse) to get good quality Chinese(Taiwanese) food. We like how they make everything from scratch and fresh. This is actually a chain restaurant and we are very happy that we discovered this gem.

How to reach Din Tai Fung?

As I said above, there are multiple locations of Din Tai Fung. The one is Settle downtown is the most crowded and hard to get a table at, during weekends. We like the one in Bellevue and University Village better as they are relatively less crowded. It is easy to reach the downtown location by public transport. If you staying near downtown, you could even walk there.

The Bellevue location of Din Tai Fung is inside a shopping mall. After you get tired shopping at Bellevue Square, this is a perfect location too fill your tummy. Ample free parking here makes the whole experience great.

Ambience

All of the restaurants we have been to looks and feels like fine-dining. The staff is very welcoming, which definitely adds to the experience.

Food at the restaurant

Being vegetarians, I think we have ample number of options here to choose from (In most restaurants, we usually have just 1 entree and few appetizers). Also, every thing they cook looks and feels healthy.

Here is what we order most of the times!!

🥟 Vegan Dumplings
🥟 Vegan Buns
🥟 Vegan Spicy Wontons
🍲 Vegan Wonton Soup
🫛 String Beans with garlic
