Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp matcha powder
  • 2-3 tbsp maple syrup adjust to taste

Toppings: chopped mango, pomegranate seeds, chia seeds, sliced almonds

Instructions

  • In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the rolled oats and water. Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook the oats until they reach your desired consistency, stirring occasionally.
  • While the oats are cooking, mix the matcha powder with a small amount of hot water in a separate bowl to create a smooth paste. Add this matcha paste to the cooking oats and stir well. Make sure the matcha is evenly distributed.
  • Once the oats are cooked, pour in the milk and continue stirring. This adds creaminess to the oatmeal. Adjust the amount of milk based on your preference.
  • Add maple syrup to the oatmeal for sweetness. Start with 2 tablespoons and adjust according to your taste preferences. Stir well to combine.
  • Once the oatmeal is creamy and well-mixed, remove it from heat. Spoon it into bowls and top with chopped mango, pomegranate seeds, chia seeds, and sliced almonds.
