Baked Kodubale

Kodubale is a famous snack made in karnataka in almost all households. Usually kodubale is deep fried but today I am posting a recipe of kodubale, which you will be able to bake or air-fry easily.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Semolina(sooji rava)
  • 1/4 cup All purpose flour(maida)
  • 1/2 cup Wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp Desiccated coconut
  • 1/2 tbsp Salt
  • tbsp Chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp Hot oil
  • ½ cup Water
  • 1 pinch Asafetida(hing)

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl add all the ingrediesnts except water and combine well.
  • Add water slowly and form a dough.
  • Roll out in pipe shape and form circles by sealing the edges.
  • Bake for 30 mins in a preheated oven @ 350F/180C. Flip at half time and bake again.

Notes

1. While flipping kodubale at half time, if it appears too dry then brush oil slightly and bake again.;
2. Wheat flour can be replaced by rice flour as well to make it gluten free.;
